Narrative: 2D Coral test

This was so fun to do, but it ate my whole evening, the animation was rushed but the actual potential of using 2D planes in our animation is there.

Animating a taste

I loved our last session with Meg. The taste I chose to animate is cappuccino, hope you guys like it :) I tried adding sound and edit it in premiere but it wouldn't let me for some reason :(

Character Blob Animation Part 3

After the feedback I received from Meg, I improved on the blob, added more frames and finished todays exercise by adding a scarf to my penguin-thingy :)

It is on vimeo, sorry about the lack of a direct video file but it's too big for blogger :)

Animating the blob Part 2

I think I did ok with this second exercise, however I still need to add a few more frames at the end as my character looks a bit limp :)

Designing and Animating the Blob

We had a lot of fun on Friday, designing a simple character (a blob) and animating it :)
At first my character looked a bit malicious (small eyes and a massive forehead) so I enlarged the eyes and made it slightly cuter.
This is ho it looks in motion :)

Can't wait to see how it will look like with the added details throughout the term :)

Zoetrope ideas

I got a few ideas down on paper for the final project, but decided on one very quickly (I thought I am extremely original by thinking about a running reindeer zoetrope, but then I saw it from the previous years and my dream of seeing Rudolph running was shattered)
So I decided I will use my face as a base and add something festive to it. Using the same method as in the morph animation I started with the first frame and then the last, and everything in between was drawn after that (I say drawn, but all I used was photoshop really).
Made a quick .gif (with a few missing frames sadly) based on my storyboard as an experiment. Will add more to it later on.
Woo Christmas is coming!

Dragon induction

The animation we did (group 4) last friday. It was fun :) It was interesting to see how it all turned out.

Bouncing Ball animation

And here is the bouncing ball from last friday :) A bit short but the ball was big anyway.
