Maybe it's not e...I think it kind-of does work. Maybe it's not entirely romantic but your theme is prehistory so a Sherwood/New Forest kind of environment might not be best-suited for your theme. You're working with dragons and dinosaurids so I'd suggest maybe going for vines and moss over big, ancient trees like you've done here.
